Pairing Two Legends of 20th-Century Photojournalism: Kodak Tri-X + Nikon F
After shooting with so much color lately I figured it was time to do a minor reset and go in the other direction where the focus is entirely on light, shadow, and texture. As such, for my latest photo adventure, I loaded a classic roll of Kodak Tri-X into my legendary Nikon F, pairing them with the ultra-wide Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AI-S.
The punchy contrast and organic grain of Tri-X easily makes it my personal favorite black and white film. Combined with the dramatic perspective of the 20mm lens, it provides a timeless, cinematic quality to each frame that is so satisfying.
