Minolta’s Wide-Angle King
The Minolta MD W.Rokkor-X 24mm f/2.8 has long been revered as the gold standard of the Rokkor wide-angle lineup. Known for its unique floating element design and superb edge-to-edge sharpness, this optical formula was so highly regarded that Leica licensed it for their own Elmarit-R 24mm lens. Combining Minolta’s peak engineering with those signature “Rokkor colors,” this lens remains a personal favorite of mine.
